Marion County is not a service area Prime Guard added to a list. It is the county the trucks start in every morning. The shop sits at 652 N Girls School Rd in Wayne Township, on the Indianapolis west side, immediately inside the I-465 beltway near where I-74 and US 36 run west out of the city.

We are already on this side of the loop
Girls School Road sits just inside the west leg of I-465. Downtown and the near east side run east on US 36, which everybody here calls Rockville Road, or out to the beltway and in on I-70 east. The north side runs up the loop. The south side runs down it.
You get a real window on the phone before a truck leaves. Typical response across the service area is about 2 hours, and Indianapolis itself is the quickest part of it.
The oldest housing stock of any county we cover
The median home in Marion County was built in 1974. Nearly six in ten, 57.4 percent, went up before 1980, and 14.8 percent were standing in 1939 or earlier. The median Hamilton County home was built in 2002, which puts a 28 year gap between two counties that share a border.
Age is a fact about the house, not about the equipment inside it. Have the brand, the model number, and roughly what year the unit went in when you call, and we can tell you something useful in about a minute.

The Speedway is not in Indianapolis
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway sits at 4790 W 16th St in the Town of Speedway, which is its own municipality of roughly 14,000 people entirely surrounded by Indianapolis. It is the single excluded town in the county. Everybody who lives here knows it, and almost every contractor website gets it wrong.
That is Unigov. Indianapolis and Marion County consolidated, but four cities kept their own governments and so did one town. Eleven more towns still legally exist inside the consolidated city, and most of them do not run much of a government at all. Four have fewer than 250 residents: Spring Hill at 74, North Crows Nest at 75, Crows Nest at 109, and Wynnedale at 210.
When you tell us you are in Beech Grove or Homecroft or Rocky Ripple, we know where that is and we know it is not the same as saying Indianapolis.

Cities, towns, and the places that only sound like towns
Four excluded cities run their own governments inside the county: Indianapolis itself, Lawrence, Beech Grove, and Southport. Speedway is the one excluded town. Eleven included towns sit inside the consolidated city: Clermont, Crows Nest, Cumberland, Homecroft, Meridian Hills, North Crows Nest, Rocky Ripple, Spring Hill, Warren Park, Williams Creek, and Wynnedale.
Broad Ripple, Irvington, Fountain Square, Castleton, and Nora are neighborhoods and commercial districts, not towns. We work all of them. Castleton is the interesting one: it was an included town under the original Unigov list and it dissolved, which is why it is a retail district today and not a municipality.
All of it is inside the normal run. Tell us the cross streets and we will find you.

Marion County questions
Do you work in Speedway, Lawrence, Beech Grove, and Southport?
Yes. Those places run their own governments, but they sit inside Marion County and inside our normal run. Same for the smaller included towns like Clermont, Warren Park, Homecroft, and Rocky Ripple.
My house was built in the sixties. Do you still work on equipment that old?
Most of this county was built before 1980, so old is normal here. Have the brand, the model number, and roughly the year the unit went in when you call. That tells us far more than the age of the house does.
What does a service call cost?
You get the number on the phone before we send a truck, and the invoice matches it.
How fast can you get to the east side from the west side?
Ask for a window on the phone and you will get a real one. Typical response across the service area runs about 2 hours. From Girls School Road the east side is out to the beltway and back in on I-70, or straight across on US 40.
Is Broad Ripple its own town?
No. Broad Ripple, Irvington, Fountain Square, Castleton, and Nora are Indianapolis neighborhoods and districts, not municipalities. It makes no difference to the service. It just means you can give us the neighborhood and we will know exactly where you are.
